Dramatic Turn in Turkey

Friday, July 29th, 2011

Washington, D.C.   All eyes are on the Congress right now during the “debt ceiling/budget” debates as American totters on the brink of a technical default on its obligations. But across the planet, events in Turkey have just occurred that may have, in the long term, Biblical proportions. The struggle between the hard-line AKP pro-Islamic party in Turkey and the secular military took a dramatic turn when it was announced today that the Chief of Staff of the military, Isik Kosaner, resigned along with a massive number of other military officials. This appears to be a major victory for the Islamic forces within Turkey, a nation in conflict: some in the country want to “modernize” and join the European Union, while others want a strict Islamic regime. The prophetic aspect of all of this is one that we have just addressed in our new futuristic novel, Thunder of Heaven, which was just released.  According to Old Testament prophecies, a Russian-Islamic coalition will be formed and it will attack Israel. The Bible shows how Turkey will play a prominent role in this coalition. The more the Islamic forces take over the direction of that nation, the greater the possiblity that the timing of such a coalition may be sooner rather than later. In other words, keep an eye on Turkey. And better yet – as you watch the world, always keep an eye on the Word of God. “Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in Heaven.” Psalm 119:89.”

Truth, Justice and Fox News

WASHINGTON D.C.   What happens when the “freedom of the press” ceases to be free in America? In our new futuristic fiction series, that is one of the questions that we raise. In our first novel Edge of Apocalypse, we showed what could happen when a liberal media monopoly conspires with a corrupt White House to control the nation’s news and information. In response, our hero Col. Joshua Jordan, his lawyer wife, and a group of patriots form a secret group to launch AmeriNews, a hard-hitting, independant news service that challenges the status quo and gives American citizens “the other side of the story.” But it comes with a heavy price to Jordan and his family. In our second novel in the series, just released, Thunder of Heaven, you can read how this strangle-hold on America’s news continues to water the seeds of political and spiritual corruption in high places. But this isn’t just fiction. The headlines today show the fact that democratic Senators are demanding that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) investigate billionaire Rupert Murdoch and his successful News Corp. business which owns and operates Fox Television; and Attorney General Eric Holder has agreed, ordering an FBI inquiry.  One of those Senators, Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) has been harshly critical of Fox’s political coverage in the past. The whole issue arose because the British News of the World, owned by News Corp., was recently rocked by scandal when evidence arose that some staff may have hacked into the phone records of various people while gathering news stories. What is the American connection? Because allegedly, reporters working for News International (also owned by News Corp.) may have paid money to English officials in return for a “scoop” on a news tip – a practice quite customary along Fleet Street’s news tabloids but it may be illegal under American law, and News International has offices in the U.S. But there is a bigger issue: the real target here may be Fox news, which has been a “thorn” in the side of liberals for years. Watch to see how some enemies of a truly free press will try to drag Fox into this. Our Founding Fathers were crystal clear in their opinion that because the press needed the liberty to freely criticize the policies and practices of our government, the media needs to be free of the crushing hand of government surveillance. But there is a prophetic angle to all this too. During the future tribulation on planet earth, Satanic forces will control the flow of information which, considering the electronic aspects of finance today, gives us an idea how those sinister forces will also be able to control the economics of the world. In Revelation 13: 14-17 we even read that a global “image” of Antichrist will be transmitted in a miraculous fashion, suggesting one possibility -  a future Internet-type system that can transmit holographic (three dimensional) images. We can’t be sure of all of the technical details of how these End Times prophecies of Scripture will be fulfilled, though we have labored to be as true as possible to the Bible in our fiction series. But one thing is sure: Americans have nothing to gain and much to lose if our government begins a politically motivated crack-down on a news services that it does not like.

Computer Money – Prophetic?

Thursday, July 7th, 2011

WASHINGTON, D.C.   The U.S. Senate is now looking at an issue of digital economy that sounds like it’s right out of our newly released novel, Thunder of Heaven. The Senators are concerned about an electronic form of currency called the Bitcoin, which is being used around the world by cyber enthusiasts. Other trends mentioned in our series as fiction are now popping up as fact: in Edge of Apocalypse, the first in our new futuristic fiction series (released last year) we introduced a handheld device (the “Allfone”) which can easily do video phoning with a push of a button. Just this week news breaks of Facebook and Skype joining forces to permit video phoning via the social networking site. In Edge  we portray a future White House pushing for the U.S. to drop the dollar and join a global currency. The idea of a world currency is growing and a few weeks ago at the Global Currency Expo financial experts were urging listeners to “get out of the dollar” because it has lost about 33% of its value vs. other currencies. In this newest twist, concerning the online, entirely digital ”currency” called the Bitcoin, lawmakers in Congress fear that this form of ”money” can be used to purchase illegal goods without being tracked. The interesting fact is that the Bitcoin, whose legality is still undecided, is an entirely peer-to-peer (P2P) exchange of value via computer, between individuals, without any bank, or national government, acting as an intermediary. Regardless of what happens in the Bitcoin debate, it is clear that electronic money is the wave of the future. If and when national governments get in the game, and then globally agree to a single digital form of world money via electronic transfers, you will begin to see how the prophetic signs are lining up. Right now we are working on the next book in our “End” series. And don’t be surprised if you read about these kind of events building to a fevered pitch! Meanwhile, those like patriot Col. Joshua Jordan, our fiction hero, and his brilliant lawyer wife Abigail, who oppose a rush to global unification and erosion of American sovereignty are getting into hotter and hotter water …
